1. Find the dipstick handle inside the engine compartment and prepare a tissue.
2. Pull out the engine oil dipstick and use a tissue to completely wipe off the oil stuck to the dipstick head. At this point, you can also take a clear look at the scale markings on the dipstick, which usually have two scales: MIN (minimum value) and MAX (maximum value).
3. Insert the cleaned engine oil dipstick back into its original position, making sure to insert it all the way. Then pull it out again, and the oil stuck at the end of the engine oil dipstick can be used for observation.
4. By observing the oil sticking to the engine oil dipstick, you can determine where the highest point of oil in the engine is. If the oil level is between MIN and MAX, this is usually the most ideal position, indicating that the amount of oil in the engine is appropriate.
If the oil level is below the MIN lower limit or above the MAX upper limit, it may be necessary to replenish or drain excess oil.
