Fuel Injection Pump Structure And Working Principle

The fuel injection pump is an important component of the automobile diesel engine. Its structure and working principle involve multiple key components and precise matching.

The fuel injection pump assembly is usually composed of a fuel injection pump, a speed regulator and other components installed together to form a whole. Among them, the speed regulator is a component that ensures the low-speed operation of the diesel engine and the limit of the maximum speed, and ensures that the injection amount and the speed maintain a certain relationship. The fuel injection pump is the most important component of the diesel engine and is regarded as the "heart" component of the diesel engine. Once it has a problem, the entire diesel engine will malfunction.

The structure of the fuel injection pump includes the oil pumping mechanism, the fuel supply adjustment mechanism, the driving mechanism, and the fuel injection pump body. The oil pumping mechanism includes the plunger sleeve, the plunger, the upper and lower plunger springs, the oil outlet valve, the oil outlet valve seat, the oil outlet valve spring and the oil outlet valve seat. The plunger and the plunger sleeve constitute the most precise pair in the fuel injection pump, called the plunger pair. It is precisely because of the precise matching of the plunger pair and the high-speed movement of the plunger that the fuel can be pressurized. The number of plunger pairs in each fuel injection pump is the same as the number of cylinders in the diesel engine it is equipped with.
