Disassembly And Assembly Steps of Diesel Engine Cylinder Head

1.  Preparation work. Firstly, it is necessary to dismantle all covers, such as exhaust pipe covers, rocker arm chamber covers, cylinder head covers, etc., and remove the piping system around the cylinder head, including fuel injector oil leakage pipes, cooling water inlet and outlet pipes, high-pressure oil pipes, cooling oil inlet and outlet pipes, etc.

2. Remove the bolts and nuts. Use a torque wrench to remove the cylinder head bolts, and mark and anti-corrosion treatment. Remove the cylinder head gasket and water seal to prevent foreign objects from entering the cylinder liner or intake duct.

3. Lift the cylinder head. Use lifting tools to lift the cylinder head and ensure it is placed smoothly. During the lifting process, avoid excessive force, especially when using an electric hoist. You can use a hammer and wooden block to gently tap the side of the cylinder head, or use a wedge to gently pry it loose.

4. Disassemble the valve mechanism. Extract the valve push rod, remove the valve rocker arm seat assembly, and pay attention to the valve sealing and valve sinking. If it does not meet the requirements, it needs to be reinstalled.

5. Clean and install the valve guide and valve. Use special tools to install the valve guide and ensure that it is 20mm higher than the support surface of the valve spring. When installing the intake and exhaust valves, it is necessary to first clean the valve seat ring and seat ring hole, apply engine oil, then insert the valve stem into the guide, level the cylinder head, and install the spring and locking clip.

6. Install the valve rocker arm seat assembly. Insert the valve push rod, install the valve rocker arm seat assembly, and tighten the fixing nut. Adjust the valve clearance to the specified value.
